While the summer sun is blazing across the United States, golfers, bikers, hikers, fishermen and campers are enjoying the cooler temperatures in Angel Fire, New Mexico with average highs in the mid-70s to lows in the 40s. Angel Fire is both a Summer and Winter Resort playground for the laid back to the extreme sportsman. Angel Fire sits in the Southern Rocky Mountains, 25 miles east of Taos, boasts of having one of North America’s premier rated PGA golf courses. At an elevation of 8,690′, the 18 hole course is 6,660 yards long from the back tees and carries a rating of 71.1 with a slope rating of 137 which makes the course challenging for the best golfers.
