We met Carol and James Galloway touring our last spec home in 2010. They loved the layout and design of the home, and had searched for their perfect lot for months until they settled on one that gave them the view of Wheeler Peak and also filled the easy access criteria.

A fusion of disparate elements – log and stucco exteriors – blended flawlessly. This home belongs in the mountains. Interior living space flows effortlessly outward onto the land. In addition to use of locally harvested standing dead timber, the home uses Low-E windows, tankless hot water system, the living space is contained in a super-insulated envelope.

The Galloway’s met with John and placed the home so that it would get the most exposure to Wheeler Peak possible. The driveway has the southern sun to help keep it easy access in the winter. As you walk into the Galloway home you are greeted with your first glimpse of Wheeler Peak and treated to the open air space of the kitchen naturally flowing into the great room. Tall ceilings add to the grandeur of the floor to ceiling stone on the fireplace and make this medium sized home seem very large.
